Form and Function Interior Design was founded in 2023 by Gemma Cullen, guided by the belief that a well designed space should do more than look beautiful, it should support the way you live. How it Works
THE PROCESS
THE F+F TEN STEP DESIGN PROCESS
1. Concept / Pre-Design
We begin by defining the overall vision, aesthetic direction, lifestyle goals, and project priorities.
2. Site Review & Documentation
Existing conditions are reviewed through site visits or architect-provided plans to ensure accuracy and alignment.
3. Space Planning
Functional layouts are developed to optimize flow, circulation, and how the space will be lived in.
4. Schematic Design
The approved layout is refined into preliminary plans and elevations that establish scale, proportion, and intent.
5. Materials & Finishes
Finishes, fixtures, and surfaces are thoughtfully curated to support both beauty and performance.
6. Detailed Design
Key spaces—such as kitchens and baths—are further developed with detailed drawings and specifications.
7. Furnishings & Selections
Furniture, textiles, lighting, and decorative elements are selected to complete the overall design.
8. Procurement Management
All approved materials and furnishings are sourced, ordered, and tracked with care and transparency.
9. Construction Coordination
We collaborate closely with builders and trades to ensure the design intent is carried through during construction.
10. Installation & Completion
Final installation, styling, and project closeout bring the space to its finished state.

INVESTMENT
DESIGN CONSULTATION $250
Every project with Form and Function Interior Design begins with a private design consultation. This initial meeting allows us to understand your vision, lifestyle, and overall project goals while determining the appropriate scope of services. Consultations may be held on-site or virtually and are required prior to engaging in design services.
DESIGN SERVICES
All design services are offered on an hourly basis to allow for a tailored, highly personalized experience.
HOURLY RATE $100
Design services are invoiced twice monthly.
Our work may include concept development, space planning, finish and furnishing curation, procurement oversight, and construction coordination. Each project is customized to the client and managed with discretion, clarity, and attention to detail.

Form and Function Interior Design collaborates closely with trusted trade partners and builders to deliver a seamless experience from concept through completion. Every project is guided by intention, craftsmanship, and a commitment to elevated, livable design.
